About Us

Our Story

Tamarack was founded in 2020 by a team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts in North Idaho who are passionate about helping children and families with autism. We understand how it can feel for a family to discover that their child has autism, and how scary it can be to get started on the journey.

That’s why we’e here: To help you on your journey through autism, from start to finish.

Collectively, we have over 40 years of experience in working with kids and families and providing ABA therapy to clients in all settings.

Tamarack Family Services is committed to changing the story in ABA and focusing compassionate care. We are committed to never trying to change “who your child is.” Every child is unique and worthy of dignity. That’s why we ensure that kids are happy, relaxed, and engaged in everything they do with us, at all times. And we sincerely value family support and participation, because we’ve seen what amazing results can be achieved when families are integrally involved in therapy.

What we stand for

Our Mission and Vision

At Tamarack our mission and vision is to teach kids with autism and their families the skills they need for a full life

We care deeply about supporting the WHOLE child. This means supporting their families, schools, and community as well. By teaching kids the skills they need, and wrapping services around every aspect of their lives, we can ensure optimal outcomes for kids with autism. We never try to change who they are, because we believe every kid is unique and worth of dignity.

We possess unassailable optimism. We are confident and hopeful about the future success of everything we do. Whether its teaching kids the skills the need for a full life, reducing behaviors that interfere with their goals, or facing challenges in our professional lives, we are always hopeful about great outcomes

Compassion

We possess unending compassion for others. We approach everything we do with emapthy, always striving to understand and feel what others feel. We empathize with parents, clients, and colleagues in all we do. And we always strive to have our clients feeling happy, relaxed, and engaged
